A:  In which cases we should replace the fuel filters?

     The function of fuel filter is to wipe off the ferric oxide and dust, prevent clogging of fuel system, decrease abrasion of machinery and ensure the stable operation of engine. Under normal circumstances, the replacement period of engine fuel filter is 250 working hours at the first time and per 500-1000 working hours thereafter. It can be flexibly replaced according to the quality level of fuel.

     In addition, when the filter pressure gauge alarms or indicates that the pressure is abnormal, it is necessary to check whether the filter is abnormal. If so, it must be replaced. When there is leakage or rupture and deformation on the surface of the filter, it must be replaced.

B:  Is the higher the filtration precision of the oil filter, the better?

     For an engine or equipment, a proper filter should achieve a balance between filtration efficiency and ash holding capacity. Using a filter with a high filtration precision may shorten the service life of the filter due to low ash capacity, thereby increasing the risk of premature clogging of the oil filter.

     Pure oil and fuel filters can effectively protect the equipment and prolong the service life of the equipment. Inferior oil and fuel filters can’t protect the equipment well and prolong the service life of the equipment, and even deteriorate the usage of equipment.
